The ants on your bench are foragers. The colony, and the queen, are usually in a wall, under paving or in the garden. Killing the foragers just sends more out.

We work out which ant you have, then use baits and non-repellent products that foragers share with the colony. It is slower than a can of spray for a day or two, and far more effective after that.

  • Ants gathering at pet food or the sugar bowl
  • Fine soil pushed up between pavers or tiles

How a visit works

    We track foragers back to where they are getting in and nesting.

  2. Choose the bait

    Sugar-feeding and protein-feeding ants need different baits.

  3. Treat outside

    A non-repellent band lets foragers carry the treatment home.

  4. Let it work

    Activity often rises briefly, then drops sharply within a week.

Your questions about ant control

Why do I see more ants at first?
They are feeding on the bait and recruiting nestmates, which is what we want. Leave the trails alone for a few days.
Are baits safe with a dog in the house?
We use enclosed bait stations or place gel where pets can't reach, and we will tell you where everything is.
Can ants damage my home?
Most are a nuisance. Some nest in wall cavities and electrical fittings, which is worth dealing with early.
Do you treat carpenter ants?
Yes. They nest in damp timber, so we also point out moisture problems that attract them.
